Tell me about yourself: answer for BCA fresher
BCA freshers often compete with B.Tech candidates, so interviewers check whether you can build something that works. A real project, even a small one, answers that better than any list of subjects.

Sample from Imran, a BCA graduate from Lucknow, in an off-campus interview
About 1 min 143 words
Presentwho I am now
Good afternoon, I'm Imran Sheikh, and I completed my BCA this year from a college in Lucknow. I work mostly with PHP, MySQL and basic JavaScript, and I like making small web tools that someone actually uses.
Pastwhat I have done
Last winter, I built a billing and stock app for a medical store near my house. The owner used to write everything in a register. Now he prints bills and sees which medicines are running low. I built it in about six weeks, and I still visit every month to fix small things he asks for. It taught me that a program is only useful when the person at the counter finds it easy.
Futurewhy this role
I'm applying here directly because I'd like to work in a team where I can learn proper coding practice. A junior web developer role is the right place for me to start.
Short version
Three sentences, for when you're nervous.
I'm Imran, a BCA graduate from Lucknow. I built a billing and stock app in PHP and MySQL that a local medical store uses every day. I'm looking to start as a junior web developer.
3 things to include
The shop or user behind it
Say who uses your project. A named neighbourhood user feels more real than 'a web application'.
How long it took
A timeframe like six weeks shows you can finish work, which is what freshers are tested on.
Why you applied directly
In an off-campus round, one line on why this company stops you sounding like you sent fifty resumes.
2 things to avoid
Apologising for BCA
Don't compare yourself with B.Tech students. Describe what you built and let the work speak.
Too many languages
Listing eight you have touched invites questions on all eight. Name the two or three you can code in.
