3 mistakes full-stack developer resumes make

  1. Naming every stack you've seen

MERN, Java, Django, Angular and PHP in one line says you're a beginner at all of them. Lead with the stack you have shipped in, and put the rest under “also worked with”.

  2. Projects that stop at the screen

Show the full path: login, database design, API, deployment. “Built a ticketing app with JWT auth, Postgres and Docker on AWS, used by 300 students” beats “built a MERN project”.

  3. No ownership in the bullets

Startups hiring full-stack developers want someone who carries a feature from idea to release. Use verbs like owned, designed and shipped, not “worked on” or “assisted”.
